Adobe Creative Suite remains the core toolkit for graphic designers worldwide. Inside Term I of the APDMC PLUS program, students master Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, combining traditional design rules with Canva and Generative AI.
The Core Pillars of Graphic Design
To produce professional print layouts and digital designs, you must master the three essential Adobe tools: Photoshop for raster image editing, Illustrator for vector illustration, and InDesign for multi-page publication layouts.
Design Tip: Never use raster files (Photoshop) for logo marks. Logo designs should always be built in vector format (Illustrator) to ensure they scale to any size without losing quality.

- Illustrator (Vector Graphics): Master the Pen tool, vector shapes creation, corporate logo designs, custom typography, and icons.
- InDesign (Digital Publishing): Master parent pages, grid systems, text wraps, and digital layout exports for brochures, catalogs, and booklets.
